Music, Lyrics & Musical Direction by Rob Bowers!
WESLEY EURE – (Conceived by and Book) - is the co-creator of the PBS Emmy-nominated children’s series Dragon Tales. He has starred in three TV series – Land of the Lost, Days of our Lives, and Finders Keepers. He is the author of five books including The Red Wings of Christmas and A Fish out of Water. Disney optioned his Christmas book for an animated feature with Wesley writing the screenplay and the songs. He has produced and directed such shows as NBC’s Spy TV and Fox’s Totally Hidden Video. He wrote the #1 tour show - The Blues Brothers Live Show - for the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park; and he has produced, written and directed many shows for Crystal Cruises and Celebrity Cruises.
ROB BOWERS - (Music & Lyrics) - began playing piano at age 6, started writing music at age 8, had his first musical produced at age 19. He continues working in all aspects of music, theatre, and arts education to this day. He studied as an Acting/Directing major at the Los Angeles City College Theatre Academy, and followed up with work in the theatre while studying with Tony-Winning director Joe Hardy, noted dancer-choreographer Lee Theodore, and creating his first ballet score at age 22. In 1974, he founded “THE ROCK SALT COMPANY”, a Youth and Family-oriented performance group. In 1984 he began a 15-year stint as the General Director of SCAMP, the USC Alumni Association’s Family Camp, developing the overall plan of entertainment, activities, and special events for each season, and then implementing them all. (He has determined that he is getting too long in the tooth for such high-energy-running-around-a-dude-ranch employment!) From 1992 until 2002 he was Artistic Director of the City of Burbank’s “KIDS ON STAGE AT THE STARLIGHT BOWL”, which he created for that venue.
Most recently, besides working on Bite Me!, he has been writing a contemporary song-cycle piece called Unhinged. Last year, he scored and musical directed a new production of John Brown’s Body, and discovered that there IS life after eye surgery!
He has written Book, Music and Lyrics for twelve full-scale produced musicals (including a pre-Disney Beauty and the Beast, All of Us, Faugh! La La La La!, Peer, and Side-Show Rag) and over twenty mini-musicals (with titles ranging from Wicked Women from Space, The Pied Piper, Cannibals for Breakfast, and The Color Wars to The Music Box and The Silver Bear, both commissioned for Open House at the Hollywood Bowl).
Rob has provided background scores for many plays, and served as Musical Director for such shows as Tintypes (DramaLogue Award), An Evening With Rodgers and Hart, Peter Pan, Lysistrata, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Bruce Kimmel’s Together Again, Hair, and the marvelously successful Steppin’ Out – The New 30’s Revue. As an accomplished pianist/singer and arranger, he has appeared at such venues as The Ten20 Room at the Bel Age Hotel, The Cinegrill, The Gardenia, The Regency Club, The Valley Hunt Club, and Reynaldo’s. He has also created cabaret acts for many other singers.
He has directed over thirty plays and musicals including Pippin, The Apple Tree, Dark of the Moon, Our Town, Peter Pan, The Wizard of Oz, and many of his own musicals. Particularly noteworthy are over forty cabaret-styled pieces for his “ROB BOWERS AND THE ROCK SALT COMPANY." In addition to producing, directing, and performing in all the “ROCK SALT COMPANY” shows, he has continued an association with the LA MUSIC CENTER, which began with his participation in defining and performing for Open House at the Hollywood Bowl, writing and performing seven season’s worth of one-man narratives for orchestral works with the LOS ANGELES PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA, and performing/teaching educators and students through the MUSIC CENTER EDUCATION DIVISION. He is still part of the latter’s roster of Artists; and in 2001 was awarded the prestigious PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS IN SCHOOLS “LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT” AWARD.
As an actor, he has performed with the likes of Richard Chamberlain, Sarah Miles, Bruce Davison, John Carradine, and Betty Garrett. His favorite roles include “Koko” in The Mikado, “Hook” in Peter Pan, “Geoff” in A Taste of Honey, and as a “Streetsinger” for Roy Dotrice’s otherwise one-man play Brief Lives.
CHIC GENNARELLI - (Costumes) - has won two Prime Time Emmy awards for the period TV show Homefront. He comes to costuming naturally as his grandmother created all of the women's clothes for the classic TV show Bewitched. He has costumed shows as varied as the cop show Hunter and the soap opera Sunset Beach. He supervised the wardrobes for the movies The Nutty Professor, Clueless, and The Brady Bunch Movie. Chic is currently creating and executing costumes for demons and vampires on both the Warner Brothers series Angel and Charmed.
FEDOR - (Gowns) - is one of this country's most up and coming fashion designers. His works are featured on many magazine covers. He created two of Bite Me!'s most exquisite haute couture gowns for the vampire Succula! A native of Ukraine, he studied at Kiev's celebrated Karastoyonavoy College School of Fashion Design. After graduation, Fedor joined the Kiev Fashion House where he designed and crafted women's custom-made-clothing.

(To the sound of a thumping heartbeat and strange music, The BOY, dressed in surgical whites complete with white mask and hat , wheels in SUCCULA on a mortuary gurney. She is covered in white sheets. SUCCULA’s green gloved hand emerges from under the sheet. The BOY removes the white sheet and SUCCULA appears in all her green sparkling magnificence wearing sunglasses. The HEARTBEAT SOUNDS stop. She SINGS.)
